Mega Yacht Slips

Superyacht dockage for vessels 80 ft and above

Before you read

Most boat type write-ups skim the surface and leave you with the same answer for every boat. This one is built around the questions that actually move a dockage decision: how marinas measure your boat, how they bill, and which clauses to read twice before signing.

Mega yachts 80–200+ ft compete for a small inventory of deep-water, high-amperage, beam-tolerant slips concentrated in a handful of global hubs. Annual contracts at top facilities are waitlisted years out.

Required: 200A or 480V 3-phase shore power, 10+ ft MLLW depth, 30+ ft slip width, side-tie or T-head berths for vessels over 120 ft, and freshwater capacity for routine washdowns.

Top US hubs: Fort Lauderdale (Pier 66, Bahia Mar), Palm Beach (Rybovich), Newport RI (Newport Shipyard), Nantucket Boat Basin (summer only). Caribbean: St. Maarten, Antigua, BVI.

Mega Yacht Slips — FAQ

Where are the best megayacht slips in the US?
Pier 66, Bahia Mar, and Rybovich on Florida's east coast; Newport Shipyard in New England. Each combines deep water, high-amp power, and on-site crew services.
Can I get a transient slip for a 120 ft yacht?
Yes, but reserve 6–12 months ahead for peak season and confirm beam, depth, and power match exactly. Last-minute superyacht transient is rarely possible at top hubs.
